Science exposed
A fun day for the whole family, with interactive workshops for aspiring scientists aged 11–15 years.

This day of workshops is a chance for enthusiastic young scientists to engage in real science, and participate in four practical workshops during the day. A theory will be proposed and an experiment will resolve the question. Experienced demonstrators and scientists guide them through all stages of experimentation then the students will direct the process. All equipment supplied.

FREE for participants. Accompanying visitors will need to purchase Museum admission. Bookings essential:

History Week
The annual, state-wide celebration of history organised by the History Council of New South Wales. This year’s theme is ‘Faces in the Street’ and seeks to encourage people to explore the life stories of famous identities and lesser known people. Discover some fascinating stories about people and places through talks and tours at the Powerhouse Museum and Powerhouse Discovery Centre.
