Brendan and Emma
I have been following the log on and off for months. Totally lost in admiration. The walk was something I had dreamed of doing but knew I never would. Now you are nearing the end it is time to register my congratulations and best wishes.

i hope I may catch up with you some time - in Bowral or Sydney - at Emma's parents' homes and shake the hands that assisted those (tired) feet.

All the best for the final leg

The Bogong "grasshopper"is almost identical to the "Killer Cicada". It used to be found on the grassy parts of the Bogong High Plains. Now that it's a National Park, I'm not so sure.

It seems to me that they would look best if smeared on to the bottom of your hiking boots ? Or, do they possibly "pop" when you cook them like popcorn? Then there's always adornment. Set into gold as jewelry...bracelets, necklaces, earrings, pins, or even as part of a body piercing. And I'm sure there are many other uses for the little "beauties". Sandy F.
