The Museum is currently undergoing an exciting new revitalisation program. This means you will soon enjoy a new public forecourt, street-side cafe, gift shop plus a new gallery for international exhibitions. During this time you may notice some construction in the Museum. The Powerhouse Museum is an award-winning museum offering spectacular architectural spaces for hire, including theatres, meeting rooms and exhibition areas suitable for cocktails, dinners and product launches.

The Museum is a truly unique conference and special events venue. It now also boasts new state-of-the-art interactive technology studio Thinkspace, providing an innovative environment for small group presentations, brainstorm sessions or business pitches.

Theatre facilities include: lecterns; microphones; house audio systems; video/data projectors; special lighting and theatre technicians. Special audiovisual hire packages are available for events held in the Museum’s exhibition areas and meeting rooms.
