Virtual Worlds: Building with Minecraft
3 - 6, 9 – 13, 16 – 20, 23 – 25 January
11am, 12pm, 1.30pm each day, Ages 5 and up
15 participants per session.
Discover today’s fastest growing virtual world. Minecraft is creativity and building orientated ‘sand-box game’. Players build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world.
Cost: $10 per child, $8 member (50 minutes duration) Tickets can be purchased online or on the day at Thinkspace on level 2 of the Museum.

Scratch Club Creative Computing

15 participants per session.
Scratch is a free and highly engaging computer programming language (software) used to create interactive stories, games, puzzles, music and art. During the summer 2011 school holidays, Thinkspace will show you the vast options for media creativity with Scratch. Produce a musical Scratch project one day and stop motion animation project the next. The possibilities are limitless!
Cost: $100 members, $80

ATYP and Thinkspace present: Film making: “Shorts in Summer”.
16 – 20 January, Ages 12 - 14
10am - 4pm (lunch time supervised, meal not provided)
15 participants per session.
In this workshop you will learn how to create your very own short film from scratch - writing, acting, directing and shooting, to screening your final product. When atyp students and Thinkspace at the Powerhouse Museum join forces, you know wonderful things will happen! This is a fantastic opportunity to combine creativity, storytelling, and state-of-the-art editing and filming technology to create your very own masterpiece!
Cost: $420 (no member discount)

General Information
A Thinkspace team member will be available to meet participants at the Powerhouse Museum admissions area from 9:45am everyday.
Participants are supervised by Thinkspace staff at all times during the workshop hours.
Please collect your child from Powerhouse Museum admissions at 4pm everyday.
Lunch is not provided in Thinkspace workshop fees. Please bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks. Lunch time is spent in the Museums courtyard (weather permitting) under supervision by a Thinkspace staff, on level one where there is a cafeteria, play equipment etc. Please note there are often long queues for the cafeteria during school holiday periods.
