Game design workshop
30 January, 11am – 3pm OR 31 January, 10am – 2pm
Ever wanted to know how computer games are designed and developed? Most games take at least two years of research, design and coding before they are released. In a hands-on, four-hour workshop, join Professor (Dr) Kathy Blashki, Director of Research and Education at Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), as she takes you back to the basics of game creation and design: starting with paper, pencils, dice, counters – and imagination! Refreshments and light lunch are included. Dr Blashki has extensive experience in the Multimedia and Games Development sector with a focus on creating narrative and systems development.
