Powerhouse Museum class visits $5 per student.* Teachers free within the student/supervisor ratio.
Combined visits with Sydney Observatory, IMAX, ABC Ultimo Centre, Sydney Learning Adventures, Solar Sailor or the Sustainable House Costs & booking information

* Additional charges apply for programs, some temporary exhibitions and combined visits with other venues. Free passes and Powerhouse Museum Memberships cannot be used on a school visit.

Bookings
Bookings are essential for all education groups. Unbooked groups will be charged normal Museum admission prices. Please read the booking checklist before making your booking.

Booking checklist
When making a booking, have this information ready:

  • Name of school, address, telephone, fax and email details
  • Number of students and class year
  • Time of arrival and departure (allow for travel time)
  • Number of supervisors according to the following ratios:
    One supervisor to one student (1:1) for special needs
    1:2 for under 5 years
    1:5 for Years K-2
    1:10 for Years 3-6
    1:20 for Years 7-12+
  • Any students with special needs
  • The best way and time to contact you if a return call is necessary.

Once a date is confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation form plus background material and information. When you receive this information:

  • Check that all booking details are correct.
  • Sign and return the form.
