Fresh Fruits is a visual feast and true
celebration of the 1990s Japanese cult fashion movement, FRUiTS,
which defined new trends on catwalks around the world. Fresh
Fruits was a compilation of striking and unconventional portraits
that provide a fascinating insight to the lives of young Australians
who, also, express their individuality and fixations through clothing.
The images, like those in the original exhibition, captured a radical
fashion subculture that communicates the influences of a new generation.
The personal obsessions, which were the motivation behind the
designs, ranged from kangaroos, to Roy Lichtenstein, the Bay City
Rollers and toy soldiers!
