Repco-Brabham Formula One car, 1966.
This is the car, designed by Jack Brabham and Ron Tauranac, that won the 1966 Formula One world championship, including the French, British, Dutch and German Grands Prix.
Its three-litre V8 engine, designed and built in Melbourne by Repco, is simple by Formula One standards. It uses only one camshaft per cylinder head yet its light weight and narrow, aerodynamic shape helped make the Repco-Brabham as fast as more powerful rivals.
