Cars and culture: our driving passions

Fast fours small but mighty

Fast fours are modified high performance four-cylinder cars. In the past these vehicles were viewed as the poor relations to the big V8's but in recent years contemporary Japanese models such as the Honda Civic , Prelude and CRX, and the Suzuki Swift have attracted a strong following.
Affordability and handling are just two attractions. As well as mechanical modifications to make the cars faster and louder, fast four owners often customise lights, mirrors and front and rear bars and add side skirts, bonnet scoops and vents.

Danny Hoang has one answer to the future of cars. His cyber cars are futuristic visions with unusual paint jobs, heavily sculpted exteriors and racing inspired interiors.
Danny has turned his passion into a thriving business, producing do-it-yourself fast-four-body kits containing fibreglass mouldings and paint. Its the third time he has modified this CRX, a project that took three people five months to complete.
