Brewing and pubs recreated the age of Tooth & Co, once Sydney's largest brewer. Visitors were able to see how a cooper made casks and find out how technology has changed work in a brewery. Compare the glamorous images promoted by pub paintings with the attitudes of the temperance movement and discover how to brew a beer on a computer interactive.
Brewing and pubs had two major themes. They show:
- what is was like to work at the Kent and Waverley breweries
- some of the ways Tooth’s and Resch’s products were advertised and sold.
Most of the objects and images used in
Brewing and pubs were donated by Tooth & Co. Brewing families.
