Artist statement
‘I have been working with fibre and its various technical material possibilities since 1985. Dominoes II is a continuation of an idea created in 2007. I have created an ambiguous physical object using the fragile qualities of fabric and light. Elements of lace are enclosed in transparent plastic boxes, isolated from the surrounding space. In essence, Dominoes II is a representation of the soul and its fragile elements in our existence. It’s the confrontation of the soul with matter.’
