This amazing image is the second shot to be added to Photo of the Day from our new group on Flickr called Modern Times: modernism in Australia. We are asking for people to post their images that represent modernism from a contemporary perspective.
This image of the MLC centre in Sydney was taken on a rainy day using a Nikon D200 and a 10-20mm Sigma lens. The photographer, Alex says
“On the day I took bracketed exposures on a locked off tripod. I then later merge these multiple exposures back in to one, using a technique referred to as HDR imaging or high dynamic range photography. This is process by which the dynamic range of an image is increased particularly in the shadows and highlights. This also contributes to the slightly surreal or hyper real look.”
