Boambee Bay

This area is only 10 minutes south of Coffs Harbour located here: Google Maps Australia near Sawtell.

We had been traveling for two days photographing for the Indigenous Women’s exhibition Yinalung yenu: women’s journey. We were constantly stopping to photograph the landscape as we were traveling and the surrounding locations of where the women featured in the exhibition lived.

We had packed up for the day and the light was setting when this area took our attention. The pale trunks of the trees really stood out against the brown and green of the background and looked interesting reflecting in the water.
With the tripod back in the car, experimentation took hold. This was shot on a 1/30 of a second at a low aperture, hence the slight blur.

If you are interested in landscape photography then Luminous Landscape is highly recommended.
