This photograph was taken by our photographer Marinco on a trip to Elcho Island where we were producing micro-documentaries about some of the artists featured in our Love lace exhibition. This is one of the steps that Judy Manany takes whilst preparing one of her artworks at Elcho Island. We were fortunate to send a small film crew to Elcho Island to get a behind the scenes look at how artist Mavis Ganambarr produces her work for Koskela. You can see the Inter-lace series here.
