Welcome to the new sustainability gateway at the Powerhouse Museum. The Free Radicals blog will be a hub of information about creating a manageable future for all of us. Come back for links and all sorts of discussion about the best way to protect our society from collapsing on itself.
As part of the Free Radicals sustainability forum at The Museum this will also be your first port of call for all the information on upcoming talks in the Free Radicals monthly series of discussions and conversations, to access the podcasts of previous talks in the series and all sorts of other bits and pieces.
The views expressed here will always be the opinions of our contributors and commentators and not official statements or policy from The Museum. Following in the footsteps of the first Free Radicals series this blog is aimed at anyone who enjoys an argument, is worried about the sustainability of their lifestyle, or who is new to the sustainability arena and loaded with questions, Free Radicals takes on all the big issues in an intelligent and entertaining way.
The debate about sustainability explores human, economic, social and biological forces, all coexisting and competing for limited resources, particularly in large metropolitan areas. Humans once held the view we live in a boundless world, where anything is possible, now it is apparent that when populations compete for limited resources, something has to give; be it species, water supply, air quality or civilisation.
So welcome back or welcome aboard.
