The small tote bag is sold with a Yamba plush toy inside, both of which were designed for Imparja Television Pty Ltd. It is designed to carry Yamba around in. Yamba is based on a honey ant from Central Australia. Honey ants live under Mulga trees and have tummies filled with lots of sweet honey. Local Aborigial people call him Yerrampe (pronounced Yirrumba), this means honey ant in the Central Arrernte language.
Yamba the honey ant was created in 1996 for a children's television program that airs weekdays to regional central Australia. Yamba is cheeky and funny, but he also shares the richness of his cultural history to his diverse audience.

This small bag between 1996 and 1999.
Yamba the Yerrampe is a honey ant from Central Australia and has been made into a variety of merchandise. Honey ants are a valuable food source for the local Aboriginal community.
Yamba appears on Imparja Television and is sold as merchandise through CAAMA (Central Australian Aboriginal Media Accosiation) shops to promote Imparja Television.
