Used by the donor Patrice Connelly (born 1956) while attending primary school at Coogee Public School in the mid 1960s.

She attended high school at the Conservatorium High School, completing her HSC in 1973. She studied for a Bachelor of Music at Sydney University, worked as a librarian, became involved in the Early Music Association and completed a Masters degree in Music at Sydney University in the early 1990s.

Her father was Harry Thomas Connelly, a pianist and songwriter who wrote songs recorded by Col Joye, Buddy Williams, Jimmy Little, Jimmy Parkinson, and Val Doonican. He worked for many years at the ABC as a music copyist.

Quotes from Patrice Connelly:
"I remember covering my exercise books very carefully in brown paper and using these gummed labels. I remember covering my text books with brown paper and then covering them with plastic again.

"I remember in primary school the filling of the ink well from a large jar in the musty smelling wooden cupboard.

"I remember the clank of milk bottles in their metal trays. I used to take chocolate Quik to school so I could drink it.
