Ashtray, earthenware, Annie Mitchell, South Australia, 1930-1940
Leaf-shaped ashtray, earthenware, hand-built, naturalistically modelled and textured [vine-leaf] with shallow flat well and upward curving sides with serrated edge, four modelled and applied pointed gum leaves fan across the well with a small cluster of gumnuts at their axis, glazed with a streaky green and brown lead glaze.
