Description
Sample, lace crochet border, Mrs Edwin Field, Australia, 1900-1910.
Cream silk crochet border [from a collar or cuff] scalloped headside border worked with design wheels at centre of each scallop. Three rows of smaller wheels in an open mesh ground extend up to gently curved footside edge. Pattern name 'Sirius', named after Southern Hemisphere constellation.
