Violin, timber, maker unknown, labelled Giovan Gaettana Pazzini, Florentinus, Anno 1640, [Austria], [1730-1760].

Very high style, has been renecked; two-piece back of horizontal curl; fine-grained table widening towards edges; medium brown varnish; sound condition but split on lower table and evidence of repairs to body; head replugged.
