70th Regiment of Foot did not serve in NSW but detachments came out with convicts as guards. This object was found in Wentworth Park.

Button, and clip, brass, 70th Regiment of Foot, British Army, Smith Kemp Wright, Birmingham, England, found Wentworth Park, New South Wales, Australia, prior to 1870. Button (/1), with convex back, inscribed with '70' on obverse and manufacturer's name on obverse. Metal clip (/2), attached to loop on obverse of button. The 70th Regiment did not serve in NSW but detachments came out with convicts as guards. Ex L. Barton collection.
