Table lamp, 'Gherpe', acrylic / plastic / metal / electrical components, designed by Superstudio, made by Poltronova, Italy, 1967

Table lamp, 'Gherpe', made from six sheets of opaque fluorescent pink acrylic. Each sheet is curved in an arc shape of differing sizes, all attached to a central, chrome plated base. The sheets radiate 180 degrees from the base, creating a fan effect. The lamp housing is mounted on the base and two black circular knobs on either side secure the sheets to the base. A black electrical cord is attached to the base and the smallest acrylic sheet has an indentation to allow it to rest over the cord.
