Playing cards, two packs in a box, The Valentine Publishing Company, Croydon, Victoria, Australia, 1950-1960
Rectangular black plastic box with lift-off cover. Inside contains plastic partition which seperates two packs of cards, both printed by Valentine. One pack of cards features central semi-abstract image of coroboree, boarded by by images of Aboriginal tools and artefacts. Colours are ochre, grey and black on a yellow background. Other pack of cards are orange, black and green on a beige background.
Lid and base of the case both have relief lettering providing trade information. Base also has four small raised blocks on each corner to enable container to stand squarely.
