Thermometer insert, metal, maker and date unknown, used by Tooth and Co., Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
A thermometer insert, made of metal, wood and glass, which consists of a cylindrical length of metal with a pointed end with small holes cut out of the bass. Attached to this is a cylindrical length of wood with a thermometer attached to the side. The thermometer is rectangular in shape and consists of glass cylinder in the centre with two rectangular metal plates on either side. Plates have engraved numbers from top to base, which read, '30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120'.
