Ullathorne & Co, were a leather shoe mercery, grindery and general merchants. Their head office was in London, with branches in Birmingham, Yorkshire and Melbourne, Victoria.
Size sticks were adjustable foot measurers used by the boot and shoe maker.

Shoe size measure stick, boxwood/brass, Ullathorne & Co., England, 1890-1910.
A shoe size measuring stick in boxwood, which folds at an elbow joint with two brass hinges. The stick features two scales of shoe sizes divided at the elbow joint; 1-13 and 1-14. The stick features a 12 inch scale on the outside, a folding up heel rest at one end, with a brass hinge and a sliding toe marker.
