Medal, King George III and His Preservation from Assassination, George III (1760-1820), bronze, engraved by Conrad Heinrich Kuchler, struck at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, England, 1800
Conrad Heinrich Kuchler, medallist and engraver, worked for Matthew Boulton at his Soho Mint. The medal was struck at the Soho Mint in Birmingham, England in 1800.
The medal was struck to commemorate the recovery of King George III from attempted assassination on 15 May 1800.

Description
Medal, King George III and His Preservation from Assassination, George III (1760-1820), bronze, engraved by Conrad Heinrich Kuchler, struck at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, England, 1800

Round bronze medal, plain edge. The obverse has a central effigy of the head and shoulders of King George III and surrounding legend 'GEORGIUS III.D:G.MAGN.BRIT.FR.ET HIBREX'. The engraver's name is under King George's effigy. The reverse has an engraving of an altar with fire and smoke and above, an eye within a triangle with rays of light (the Eye of Providence). The legend is 'PERSPICIT ET PROTEGIT. / A SICARIO SERVATUS / MAI. XV. MDCCC.'. The altar has 'D.O. / M.'
