Specimen column, silky oak wood, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1900-1930
Turned timber specimen of silky oak in the shape of a column. Square platform with round moulded base surmounted by cylindrical fluted column. Removable round moulded capital with flat square top. Painted in white on side of column 'SILKY OAK'. Varnished finish.
