Description
Armchair, 'First', wood / metal, designed by Michele de Lucchi, made by Memphis, Italy, 1983

'First' armchair with a metal frame and wooden backrest, armrests and seat. The metal back and arms are formed in one circular piece with a blue wooden backrest attached centrally and black wooden 'ball' armrests attached on each arm. The arms extend down to join the front legs. The black wooden circular seat is set into the metal circularframe to which four straight, tubular metal legs are attached. Rubber pads are mounted at the foot of each leg. Maker's mark on underside of seat.
