Sculpture, 'Night Beach', stoneware, Derek Smith, Australia, 1982
Slab built sculptural form consisting of two rectangular pieces joined at either end and top. The base consists of a lanceolate form which causes the sides to buldge outward. The piece is mostly brown and blue in colour and has a rough surface. The surface has been decorated with landscape design including flat horizon line and moon. A semicircular incision is located upper center of the neck.
