When some of the Holden cars used in the Sydney 2000 Olympic torch relay were re-badged for use in the Paralympic torch relay, decals like this were applied to the vehicles.

The Paralympic torch relay commenced with a lighting ceremony in Canberra on 5 October 2000, and finished at the opening ceremony at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay on 18 October 2000.

From Canberra, the flame travelled to all capital cities by air before completing a 750km road trip through the greater Sydney region, including the main regional centres of Newcastle and Wollongong.

The Paralympic torch relay, although a more modest undertaking the Olympic one, nevertheless attracted media attention and public interest. This decal has the potential to communicate about the Paralympic torch relay and its associated graphic elements. Being a spare decal that was not used, it represents an example of how the vehicles in the Paralympic torch relay were badged.
