Christmas card, Chips and Quentin Rafferty, paper, Dahl and Geoffrey Collings, Killcare Heights, New South Wales, Australia, 1947

Christmas card from Chips and Quentin Rafferty to Dahl and Geoffrey Collings printed in black and red on cream paper. The card features a cartoon signed 'Rms' which shows a giant, Chips Rafferty, sitting on a stool having his huge beard combed by a tiny female figure, Quentin Rafferty, who is standing with her left foot on the end of the giant's left shoe and her right foot on the top of the back of a chair. The text in red in the central panel reads, 'A Merry/ Xmas/ &/ one of those/ flamin' Bright/ New Years' while the text in red in the right hand panel also in red continues 'from/ Chips & Quentin/ Rafferty'. Finally the year '1947' is contained within a map of Australia. The card relates to the filming of 'Eureka Stockade' in which Chips Rafferty played the role of Peter Lalor.
