Storage box, base and lid, for toy 'Bubble Blowing Popeye', cardboard, Linemar Toys, Japan, c.1960

Rectangular cardboard box lid and base for the 'Bubble Blowing Popeye' toy. The lid of the box has a colour illustration of Popeye spinning around and blowing bubbles from his pipe while his adopted son Swee'Pea wearing a grey baby dress and cap laughs in the background. The text 'Battery Operated Bubble Blowing Popeye' is printed on the front of the box lid. The base of the box is made from brown cardboard.
