Description
Toy astronaut robot, 'Swivel-O-Matic', tin plate/plastic, made by 'SH', Japan, c.1970.

Battery operated toy robot with swivel and gun shooting action made of tin plate and plastic. Robot has a square head and torso with bent arms and straight legs in dark grey, red rectangular feet. The head has silver plastic cone shaped ears and a clear face plate over a colour graphic image of a man's face. The front of the torso has dials and buttons, some of which are behind clear plastic. Each foot has two small black plastic wheels. Battery chamber at back of torso with swing door that has a yellow plastic latch. A green plastic on/off switch is just above the door.
