Emergency torch, metal / Velcro, used by explorer Dick Smith aboard his helicopter, 'Dick Smith Australian Explorer', Bell 206B Jetranger III during the first solo circumnavigation of the world in a helicopter, 1982-1983, maker unknown

Emergency torch, elongated metal shape encased in Velcro and attached to the left hand side of the navigation dials console inside the helicopter cabin. The blunt rounded end of the torch has a rotating metal cap and the adjacent end has a thin metal shaft with a circular hole in the end.
