1956 Corvette Convertible (two-tone Arctic Blue & Polo White)
With the 1956 model the Corvette's engine was increased from an 8:1 compression ratio to 9:25. Both hard and soft top models were available. The 1956 Corvette had a new body with a "toothy" chrome grill, scalloped sides, and rounded boot area. Inside were two bucket seats. Many enthusiasts consider this car to be the most beautiful of all the Corvettes. This Franklin Mint model has a detachable hard-top roof, a detailed engine, white-wall tyres and a chrome grill with 13 vertical bars. It has the engine and driver's compartment layouts, a Certificate of Authenticity and a custom number plate.
