This hand tinted photographic print taken on 21 September 1943, features Mrs Norman Spencer (nee Millard) in a wedding dress that was originally intended for an unknown bride. Initially, the dress was sent in 4 pieces comprising the train with skirt, sleeves and bodice to Australia possibly from Ireland. Mrs Spencer came by the dress through a Red Cross Society Raffle and had it made up by a local seamstress.
The quality of workmanship and detail of the lace is very evident in this photograph.
