Banner, 'W.C.T.U / FOR GOD / HOME / AND / HUMANITY / LIDCOMBE', textile / wood, used by the Woman's Christian Temperance Union of New South Wales, Lidcombe, New South Wales, Australia, 1882-1982

Banner formed as a rectangle of blue satin, stenciled in gold with the caption 'W.C.T.U / FOR GOD / HOME / AND / HUMANITY / LIDCOMBE' and an bunch of flannel flowers. At the top a wooden pole runs through a sleeve in the fabric and is suspended from a gold cotton cord. The bottom is edged with a gold cotton fringe. Backed with blue fabric.
