Banner, 'W.C.T.U / CHATSWOOD, / JUNE 1897. / "FOR GOD, HOME AND HUMANITY."', satin / paint / metal, used by the Woman's Christian Temperance Union of New South Wales, Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia, 1897..

Rectangle of blue satin with pointed lower edge. Lettering printed in gold in a portrait orientation 'W.C.T.U / CHATSWOOD, / JUNE 1897. / "FOR GOD, HOME AND HUMANITY."', Stenciled in paint in the centre is a bunch of flannel flowers. The lower edge is decorated with a gold cotton fringe. The whole is edged with gold cotton braid and a tassel at each corner. A brass rod runs through a sleeve at the top. Backed with blue fabric.
