The doll's towel was made in the 1920s by Doris Beckett whilst in transit from the United States of America to Australia.

Dolls towel bag, cotton / metal / plastic, made by Doris Beckett, United States of America / Australia, 1920-1930

Doll's fabric towel bag. The home-made towel bag is made from a square pouch of cream, pink, and green floral fabric and is edged with cream and pink fabric tape. The underside of the fabric has a white plastic coating. The towel bag features a flap opening and is fastened with a metal press stud.
