Salver, electrotype reproduction, silvered copper, Elkington and Co., London, c.1886. Salver; Diam 17 1/2in; gilt; No.20; French 16th century; Original, of pewter, by I Briot in South Kensington Museum. Embossed with medallions containing allegorical personages representing the four elements and the sciences; "Temperantia", a seated figure on a raised medallion in the centre (SB). Salver - French (Electrotype.) 16th century. embossed with medallions of allegorical figures representing the 4 elements and the sciences. "Temperantia" seated on a raised medallion (LC).

Made: Elkington & Co; Birmingham, England; 1880 - 1886
