Negative number 4305. Photograph from negative appears on page 145 of the book with the caption "Spectacular Surf Carnivals are held on Sydney beaches throughout the surfing season. The carnivals encourage public interest in the Surf Life Saving Movement, and competitive races for surf rescue teams promote the best swimming, life-saving and surfboat techniques."
