The image of Pymble Hire Car Service shows two Chevrolet cars (1938 and 1940) and a Chrysler car. The two men standing in front of the cars are (from left to right) a Mr Leonard (brother of driver Jim Leonard) and a Mr Duckworth (whose family owned a shoe store in Pymble). Pymble Hire Car Services was situated on the Pacific Highway, across the road from Pymble Station.
The image of the truck shows was taken at the Gillott 'bus yard' on Mona Vale Rd, St Ives. Featured in the background are a family home, and behind that, the old Methodist Church.
