The envelope and stamps were isssued in Czechoslovakia in 1963 probably by Ceskoslovenska Posta.

The Vostok program was a Soviet human spaceflight project. It resulted in a person being placed into orbit for the first time. Vostok 6 resulted in the first woman in space.

In the upper right corner are two Czech stamps depicting the Vostok spacecraft in space. There is a postmark in black ink from Prague, dated 20 June 1963. An airmail sticker is in the upper left corner. An typewritten address is on the back of the envelope and a postmark in black ink.
