Philatelic cover, Vostok 5 and Vostok 6, paper, issued in Czeckoslovakia, 1963
The envelope and stamps were isssued in Czechoslovakia in 1963 probably by Ceskoslovenska Posta.
The Vostok program was a Soviet human spaceflight project. It resulted in a person being placed into orbit for the first time. Vostok 6 resulted in the first woman in space.

Philatelic cover, Vostok 5 and Vostok 6, paper, issued in Czeckoslovakia, 1963

Envelope relating to the Vostok spaceflight program. On the left side of the envelope is an image of two spacecraft flying around the Earth. Text in red above and below is in Czech. In the upper right corner are two Czech stamps depicting the Vostok spacecraft in space. There is a postmark in black ink from Prague, dated 20 June 1963. An airmail sticker is in the upper left corner. An typewritten address is on the back of the envelope and a postmark in black ink.
