In the upper right corner is a US 8c stamp that features a spacecraft on the moon with the Earth and sun in the background. The postmark is from Houston, Texas and is dated March 15 1973. There are three signatures in black ink.

The insert is a white rectangular card with a black and white photograph of an American astronaut meeting with two Russian cosmonauts.
