Philatelic cover, Cosmonauts Belyayev and Leonov visit the German Democratic Republic, paper, issued in Germany, 1965
The envelope and stamps were issued in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) in 1965.
Pavel Belyayev (1925-1970), was a cosmonaut who flew on the Voskhod 2 mission.
Alexey Leonov (born 1934) is a retired Soviet/Russian cosmonaut and Air Force General who, on 18 March 1965, became the first human to conduct a space walk.

Description
White envelope celebrating the visit by Russian cosmonauts Belyayev and Leonov to the German Democratic Republic. The envelope has a red and blue image of a United Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) spacecraft on the left side and three German Democratic Republic stamps. The stamps feature Aleksei Leonov and Pavel Belyayev and a cosmonaut floating outside a spacecraft in space. The envelope bears two black ink postmarks from Berlin, dated 1 October 1965. Each postmark features a stamped illustration of two cosmonauts holding flowers in raised arms.
