Object statement
Toy robot with packaging, 'Dynamic Fighter', plastic / metal / paint, made by J-Toy, Japan, used by the Henry family, Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia, 1977-1979
This toy robot comes from a group of twelve items donated by Michael Henry. It is well-provenanced, having been received as a Christmas present and used by the donor's brother Jason Henry. The Henry family lived at Bankstown.

The robot includes it original packaging. It can be used to illustrate themes relating to children, domestic life and the family. It is also relevant the marketing of products to children, and the prevalence of science fiction themes (particular aliens and outer space) in post-war juvenilia.
Maker's name on box: 'J-Toy/Original Junior Product/ Made in Japan.'
The robot belonged to Jason Henry as a child. It was a gift he found beneath the family Christmas tree. It was used by the donor Michael Henry (born 1973), his brother Jason and sister Karen. The Henry family lived at Bankstown.

Toy robot with packaging, 'Dynamic Fighter', plastic / metal / paint, made by J-Toy, Japan, used by the Henry family, Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia, 1977-1979

Blue plastic, battery operated, humanoid robotic figure, with flashing orange eyes, red feet, movable limbs, guns protruding from chest, illustrated with stickers. The box has a plain thick cardboard box tray and a highly coloured lid with yellow, blue, pink and black graphics of the robot in action, black and white print with text 'Automatic walk and stop action/guns fire, smoking, lighting and shaking with realistic sound'. Used condition.

Maker's name on box: 'J-Toy/Original Junior Product/ Made in Japan'.
