Photographic print, black & white, large wall sign advertising the film "The Big Pond" starring Maurice Chevalier at the Prince Edward Theatre, designed by Rousel Studios, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1930

Large wall sign by Rousel Studios advertising the opening of the film "The Big Pond" starring Maurice Chevalier at the Prince Edward Theatre, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Across the top of the sign it reads, "PRINCE EDWARD/The Theatre of/Charm, Grace/& Intimacy". At the top right are the words, "GRAND/Gala Opening/Wed. 13 AUG. at 8 p.m." The central part of the sign features a stick figure drawing of Maurice Chevalier wearing a tuxedo and straw boater as if performing on stage. The text with the picture reads, "The "BIG POND"/MAURICE CHEVALIER/A Paramount Picture". Underneath the picture it reads, "Also/Inspiring Orchestral Presentation/ALBERT CAZABON/CONCERT ORCHESTRA/with/ Julia Dawn Singing/Organist/In addition/Supporting Program/of high class singing/& talking acts".
