The evening dress was made in France in c. 1925, however the maker is unknown.

Dress was part of the private collection of Margot Richards, who owned an antique store in the Strand Arcade, Sydney, and for many years was one of Sydney's leading dealers in costume.

Description
Evening dress, womens, silk / beads / diamantes, maker unknown, France, c 1925

Tubular pink silk evening dress with matching belt. Dress is sleeveless with a V shaped neckline and falls to below the knee. Decorated with seed beads, pearls and diamantes at neckline, armholes and from hip to hem. Hem is also decorated with a crimson velvet band with six small splits.
