Didactic display, framed, fishing equipment and needles, made by W Bartleet & Sons, Redditch, England, c.1880
Two large wooden frames create a two sided glass display cabinet containing samples of fishing equipment and needles, on a black wooden display plinth . The cabinets are painted black with gold lettering. Inside, mounted with thread on cardboard and paper backing, are displays broken up into like areas often with shop label attached. In one cabinet is a display of fishing equipment including lines, floats, lures, swivels and hooks. In the other is a display of various types of hooks and needles including crochet hooks, upholstery hooks, knitting needles, hand sewing and machine sewing needles, surgical and veterinary needles and fish hooks.
