Linda Parry, March 1992: cartoon is very large if intended as a repeat design, so probably a commission; could be checked through May Morris' notebook which lists embroidery commissions etc 1885-96. Probably drawn by William Morris himself, as it lacks either May's or Henry Dearle's drawing skills, and so probably pre 1885 when May Morris took over.
